Our story
One evening, three good friends meet up for a drink. All of them true gourmets and hedonists. Each of them successful but also eager for new challenges. They talk and talk and start discussing pasta.
“Can you imagine… Being able to eat pasta every day? So fresh and supple as though it just came directly from under the rolling pin?”
“Prepared and stuffed with the best ingredients available.”
“Like with the neighbour’s pumpkin or trout from Bohinj?”
“Tastes could even be personalised.”
“Guys, we could even freeze them and preserve all the characteristics of fresh pasta.” “Restaurants, schools and kindergartens would love them. We could finally offer our customers high-quality home-made pasta.”
Three friends, one pasta, and endless undiscovered tastes.
They just couldn’t shake the idea and decided to meet in the kitchen next time, where they started working on the first recipes.
They started with the practicality of things – what is it that they even want to create?
They wrote down 5 main objectives:
- to create the best pasta in the market, which is as close as possible to fresh pasta;
- to use only the best ingredients offered by nature;
- to have the pasta always be fresh, long-lasting and, most importantly, easy and quick to prepare!
They shook on it and started working. They tested the first products on their friends and praise just kept on coming. Everybody wanted more. Soon, the first orders came. Things got serious – the first orders for NUDL pasta came from local kindergartens and schools, these were followed by smaller inns and restaurants. And then the unexpected happened – NUDL pasta was discovered by the greatest culinary masters in Slovenia. When the production facility of NUDL was visited by two Michelin star chef Ana Roš for the first time, they knew this could be the beginning of something great.
After a few months of working and hatching up recipes with the greatest chef in Slovenia, a new culinary story was born. They were aware that this was the beginning of creating something special, personal, incredibly tasty and personalised.
Personalisation and creation of tastes as required by the Best has become one of the most recognisable features of NUDL, placing the company at the top of pasta makers. Both at home and abroad.
The three best friends have thus ensured that their lives will always be full of new tastes, challenges and outstanding people. And this brings us to the most important part – there is never a dull moment in the NUDL kitchen. It is always full of local ingredients and divine tastes, which are the result of successful cooperation with Slovenian farmers and culinary masters.
Each story thus brings new people, all with a passion for a high-quality life lived to the fullest, spoons or forks in hand. Whichever you prefer.
